Yinson Production Ghana has successfully conducted its third annual phonics training program for teachers in the Ahanta West Municipality, underscoring the company’s commitment to enhancing educational standards. This year’s initiative registered 200 educators from 78 schools in the Western Region, with the aim of improving early childhood literacy.

Edward Mensah, Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator at Yinson Ghana, said: “Education is the cornerstone of a prosperous society. Our commitment to supporting educational initiatives stems from our deep-rooted belief in the transformative power of education.” The phonics training program, developed in partnership with the Ghana Education Service (GES), is designed to equip teachers with effective strategies for teaching phonics, thereby enhancing literacy and academic success for young learners.

Local education leaders, including Julian Fobi, Head of Early Childhood Education at Ahanta West Municipal Education Service, have praised the impact of Yinson Production’s initiative, noting its potential to support students’ pronunciation and reading skills at critical stages in their development.
