Yinson Production Ghana has further strengthened its commitment to education and community development with the opening of a fourth computer lab at Beahu MA Basic School. This new facility builds on the success of previous labs established in Apowa, Kejabil, and Adjoa, enhancing digital learning opportunities for students in the Ahanta West Municipality.
Designed to support approximately 2,000 students from Beahu and nearby schools, the lab is equipped with internet access, air conditioning, modern desks, a projector, and security cameras. These features create a conducive learning environment, enabling students to develop essential digital skills.
At the launch event, Edward Mensah, CSR Coordinator for Yinson Production Ghana, encouraged students to make full use of the facility, highlighting that access to the right tools and resources can help unlock their potential. Naa Opoku Agyeman, Managing Director of Yinson Production Ghana, expressed optimism that the lab would inspire students to explore technology and develop skills that could shape their future careers.
George Effah, Acting Director of Education for the Western Region, emphasized the importance of hands-on learning in digital education, while Nana Ekua Sekyiwa Darko, Manager of Community Relations at the Petroleum Commission, highlighted the role of digital literacy in preparing students for the evolving technological landscape.
